Peel Street (just off Hindley Street) has seen quite a transformation over the last couple of years – going from an abandoned and often avoided street to a vibrant social space that is bustling with bars, cafes, and restaurants – all owned and supported by Adelaidian locals!
One such restaurant and bar that I recently visited is called 2nd & 6th, which has been cleverly named after the 2nd (greed) and 6th (gluttony) of the 7 deadly sins. Staying true to its name, customers are not only allowed to, but in fact encouraged to indulge in these sins, gorging on the delicious food and drink on offer.
Boasting of contemporary European cuisine, customers can visit this beautiful establishment for lunch and/or dinner services. Alternatively, if you’re after some knock-off drinks, then you’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear that the bartenders here love experimenting with their concoctions and you can enjoy a variety of sweet / bold and strong / old-fashioned styles of boozy goodness.
