The newest art studio on the [Goodwood Road] block is Ettie Ink. Owned and managed by 2016 House Rules semi-finalist and graphic designer Michelle Fogden, Ettie Ink is where Michelle will bring to life contemporary forms of abstract art and design. Specializing in prints and paintings, Ettie Ink will also offer products by local and interstate businesses such as gorgeous pots and plants by South Australian business Potted Thoughts & Sydney-based business Design Twins.
“Opening my own studio has been a lifelong dream. It’s a very exciting time for my business and a notable achievement for me. My goal in the new studio is to paint – I want to create original pieces that make beautiful statements in people’s homes. Knowing I can utilise my creative skills to produce art that people love makes my job even more rewarding.”
Coming from a diverse background in teaching, multimedia, graphic design, film editing, & digital animation, Michelle initially started Ettie Ink as a graphic design business. After working from home for several years, Michelle thought it was time to move to a studio space, where she’d have a clearer focus and sense of creating her artistic pieces. Additionally, her customers can now find it much more accessible to meet Michelle and get hold of her much-loved prints in a common area, instead of being limited to the local markets, where Michelle started off selling her prints.

Ettie Ink will also be hosting an inaugural workshop with interior stylist and founder Julia Green of Greenhouse Interiors on October 15th, 2017. Tickets are limited and are available for purchase here.
Special thanks to Girl About Town for the invite to the launch of the studio and for the information regarding the story of Ettie Ink.
