Celebrate Day Of The Dead At HQ Complex

With thanks to Girl About Town for the information + images

Did you know that everyone’s favourite spooky festival Halloween is just under 28 days away? If you’re like me and love the idea of dress-ups, costumes, and garish makeup to tickle everyone’s fear factor, then this event might be something worth considering.

In an Adelaide first, Melbourne-based Mexican entertainment Group Lucha Fantastica will be bringing us some good ol’ Mexican wrestling to HQ Complex for the ultimate Day of the Dead celebration on October 26.

Known to be Australia’s only Mexican performance company that offers authentic entertainment, music, and culture, Lucha Fantastica is hoping to transform HQ Complex into a haunted Mexican Wrestling Arena, which will be decorated over 12 professional luchadores and enmascarados (masked wrestlers). Customers can expect to be treated to performances that will have a dramatic twist to it, such as good versus evil routines and fighting techniques (wrestling, judo, kickboxing and jujitsu).

“Our Day of the Dead Fiesta will be THE party to attend if you really want to experience a traditional Mexican celebration. The event combines Mexican wrestling with traditional music, colours, comedy and excitement all night – it truly is a feast for the eyes!” – Victor Diaz (Lucha Fantastica Founder)

This is a fantastic opportunity for those curious about the Mexican culture to come along and kick off the Day of the Dead after party celebrations, which will involve a colorful fiesta of tequila, tacos, and live Mariachi, along with Mexican + Latin DJs, who will supply with a twirling selection of songs to dance the night away.
